Ginger

In our Archaka trading We take great pride in offering the finest selection of GINGER available. Ginger is a flowering plant whose root is widely used as a spice and folk medicine. It’s native to Southeast Asia but is now cultivated in many tropical and subtropical regions around the world. The root of the ginger plant, known as ginger root or simply ginger, is commonly used fresh, dried, or powdered in cooking, teas, and herbal remedies. Ginger can help alleviate digestive issues such as indigestion, bloating, and gas by promoting the production of digestive enzymes and increasing the movement of food through the digestive tract.

  •  Baby Ginger:Baby ginger is a younger and milder variety of ginger. It has a tender texture and a less intense flavor compared to mature ginger. It’s often used in pickles, salads, and other dishes where a subtler ginger flavor is desired.
  •  Yellow Ginger (Turmeric):Turmeric is a variety of ginger known for its bright yellow-orange color. It’s commonly used as a spice, particularly in South Asian and Middle Eastern cuisines, and is also valued for its medicinal properties.
  •  White Ginger: White ginger refers to a variety of ginger with pale or off-white flesh. It’s often used in pickling and preserving due to its mild flavor and crisp texture.
  •  Blue Ginger (Dichorisandra thyrsiflora): Blue ginger is not a true ginger plant but is sometimes referred to as such due to its similar appearance. It’s primarily grown as an ornamental plant for its striking blue-purple flowers.
  •  Galangal (Alpinia galanga): Galangal is a close relative of ginger and is sometimes referred to as “Thai ginger” or “galangal ginger.” It has a sharper, citrusy flavor and is commonly used in Southeast Asian cuisines, particularly Thai and Indonesian dishes.
  •  African Ginger (Siphonochilus aethiopicus): This variety of ginger is native to Africa and is used both as a spice and as a medicinal.
